Six Flags Great America Mock Crisis Communication Plan

In my crisis communication class, I developed a comprehensive crisis communications strategy in response to a simulated data breach at Six Flags Great America. The project included a press release, media fact sheet, anticipated press conference Q&A, and platform-specific social media messaging designed to inform stakeholders while maintaining transparency and public trust. The communications plan outlined initial holding statements and reputation management messages.

Student Health Benefit Plan October Newsletter

Developed and wrote a seasonal email campaign promoting Boynton Health services and resources to Student Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) members. The campaign used engaging, student-focused messaging and a cohesive fall/Halloween theme to encourage preventive care, including flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, same-day appointments, nutrition counseling, and STI testing. I organized service information, crafted clear calls to action, and incorporated upcoming campus events to increase awareness and utilization of student health benefits. The newsletter was sent to 7,861 recipients with a 75.5% open rate.

Legislative Press Release: Juneteenth Flag Raising

Drafted and edited a formal press release announcing Representative Shelia Stubbs' remarks at the Wisconsin State Capitol Juneteenth Flag Raising ceremony. The release highlighted the historical significance of Juneteenth, honored influential leaders in the movement, and communicated the representative's message of equity, remembrance, and community. This project demonstrates proficiency in creating clear, newsworthy messaging for media and public audiences.
